SenseLogix Win Best Green Product Innovation Award
Innovative start-up wins award for EnergyLogix, a retrofit energy reduction solution for offices and education
October 11th, 2010 – SenseLogix is delighted to announce it has won the award for the Best Innovation in Green Products or Services at the prestigious Innovation and Sustainability Awards, which are held at the Energy Solutions Expo in Olympia, London.
The awards offer companies the chance to gain recognition for their innovative and sustainable products and services that support the effective and efficient management of a workplace. SenseLogix was selected for the award ahead of a number of the UK’s leading low carbon technology companies in the category, which was sponsored by the Water, Energy and the Environment magazine.
Their solution, EnergyLogix, is an energy reduction solution designed to retrofit into the cable management infrastructure of existing buildings to manage equipment including ICT and appliances to eliminate electrical waste and lower carbon emissions. The solution meters and controls at socket level to create user level energy profiles and incorporate a web based energy dashboard and real-time reporting tools to promote energy efficient behaviour.
The category, Best Innovation in Green Products or Services, focussed upon technology solutions aimed at improving energy efficiency in the workplace environment. Tim McManan-Smith, group editor of Water, Energy and the Environment, the category judge, said: “The entry appealed because of its wide applicability to many business sectors along with its ability to be retrofitted with minimum disruption. When this is allied to the huge potential for saving energy the product is a clear green innovator.”

SenseLogix, who are supported by the Carbon Trust, recently opened an Operations centre and regional office in the North East and are shortly moving the business headquarters into larger offices in North Wales.
