North Wales-based start-up SenseLogix is helping organisations raise awareness and cut their power use by using control software to switch off PCs and other appliances such as vending machines, when they aren’t needed. SenseLogix provides automated, real-time energy saving products and enhanced energy awareness for buildings. Energy metering and control devices are placed behind wall sockets and a PC power management solution is installed to manage ICT equipment.

The Carbon Trust Entrepreneurs Fast Track provides credible and novel technologies a real commercial path to success.

Through a central control system, the SenseLogix technology can monitor energy use and manage computers and other machines such as copiers, printers, vending, heaters and coolers and turn them off when not needed using energy saving policies.

The company has noticed a surge in interest in this product, particularly since the release of its combined metering and control platform, as organisations look for savings. Jonathan Luke, SensoLogix’s CEO, said: “Customers now realise they can use EnergyLogix to gain visiblility of their energy use and then implement the system’s control technologies to reduce energy waste on small appliances and IT to deliver excellent savings.”

SenseLogix’s credentials make the company ideal for the Carbon Trust Entrepreneurs Fast Track which provides a customised package of expert commercial advice, networking opportunities and grant funding to small enterprises that are developing low carbon technologies in the UK.
